ENCINITAS — San Dieguito Academy invites the community to its first game played on the new turf field in its stadium at 4 p.m. Jan. 10. A very short ribbon-cutting and flag-raising ceremony will take place at 3:45 p.m., before the start of the boys’ varsity soccer game.
Because construction on the stadium is on-going and bleachers are yet to be built, we will actually have two openings, Principal Tim Hornig said. After this smaller first opening, a “grand opening” will be held during the spring sports season on a date yet to be determined.
