FUN FOR A CAUSE

Co-chairwomen Robin Nordhoff and Sue Raffee, accompanied by legendary scientists Albert Einstein, Louis Pasteur, Sir Isaac Newton and Leonardo da Vinci, greeted guests at the Friends of the Burnham Institute for Medical Research annual gala Nov. 15 at the Grand Del Mar Resort raising $1.1 million. Guests included Lee and Frank Goldber, pictured above. Lead table sponsors including Invitrogen, Gen-Probe and Drew and Noni Senyei. Fund-A Need raised $760,000, thanks to leadership gifts from T.
