Is the winner of Emerging Voices, Encore’s student playwright series competition. This lively full-length play, written by young North County playwrights Teddy Blessing and Emily Sperling, parodies the relationships and conflicts of the cast and crew backstage at a struggling theater production. Performances will be held at 7:30 p.m. Jan. 22 and Jan. 23 and 2 p.m. Jan. 24 at the Broadway Theatre, 340 E. Broadway in Vista. Tickets are $7 in advance and at the door. Encore Youth Theatre, an affiliate of the Moonlight Cultural Foundation in Vista is a not-for-profit educational association that specializes in theatrical training for young people. Its goal is to help young aspiring actors prepare to pursue their dreams by producing shows and theatrical workshops, committed to providing an education in theatre arts, encouraging teamwork, and developing leadership skills in a supportive setting.
