Weekly Crime Reports: Encinitas, Solana Beach, Del Mar

Weekly crime reports from the Sheriff’s Dept. North Coastal Station for March 13 to March 26 for the cities of Encinitas, Del Mar and Solana Beach. All arrestees within these crime reports are presumed innocent.

Jenkins, 53, was arrested at 10:24 a.m. on March 13 at South Coast Highway 101, Encinitas, for possessing controlled substances and paraphernalia. 

Ares, 24, was arrested at 4:01 p.m. on March 13 at Plaza Street, Solana Beach, for possessing controlled substances and paraphernalia. 

Jones, 31, was arrested at 4:02 p.m. on March 13 at North Rancho Santa Fe Road, Encinitas and booked at the Vista Detention Facility for violating a domestic violence court order. 

Hopkins, 30, was arrested at 8:17 a.m. on March 13 at Santa Fe Drive, Scripps, Encinitas and booked at the San Diego County Jail for disorderly conduct under the influence of drugs.

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for commercial burglary at 6:08 a.m. on March 13 at North El Camino Real Encinitas. The victim, Shell Gas Station, reported stolen bills and coins ($9,500).

Nino Martinez, 23, was arrested at 8:48 a.m. on March 13 at West Valley Parkway, Escondido for possessing controlled paraphernalia. 

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for vandalism at 8:48 a.m. on March 13 at Turner Avenue, Encinitas. The female victim, 46, reported a damaged automobile ($1,400). 

Rodriguez Berger, 32, was arrested at 11:09 a.m. on March 13 at North Santa Fe Avenue, Vista Transit Center, Vista, and booked at the Vista Detention Facility for a misdemeanor bench warrant. 

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for found narcotics at 10:23 a.m. on March 14 at West Washington Avenue, Oceanside. 

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for vandalism at 5:24 p.m. on March 14 at Avenida Feliz, Rancho Santa Fe. The male victim, 43, reported stolen credit cards. 

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for a temporary restraining order at 9:06 p.m. on March 14 at Serpentine Drive, Del Mar. 

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for stalking at 4:49 p.m. on March 15 at San Elijo Avenue, Cardiff by the Sea. 

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for petty theft at 3:55 a.m. on March 13 at Aberdeen Drive, Cardiff by the Sea. The female victim, 30, reported a stolen cell phone ($800).

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for vehicle burglary at 9:19 a.m. on March 15 at Normandy Road, Encinitas. The male victim, 31, reported stolen automotive parts ($3,000). 

Greuel, 30, was arrested at 2:11 p.m. on March 15 at West Washington Avenue, Escondido for a misdemeanor citation and released on an active warrant.

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for petty theft at 1:51 p.m. on March 15 at Montgomery Avenue, Cardiff by the Sea. The male victim, 18, reported a stolen wallet ($100), identification card ($32), and credit cards. 

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for a follow-up investigation at 5:07 p.m. on March 16 at Clairemont Mesa Boulevard, San Diego. 

Adams, 31, was arrested at 9:47 p.m. on March 15 at Leucadia Boulevard, Encinitas, for possessing controlled narcotics and paraphernalia. 

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for grand theft at 10:18 p.m. on March 16 at Nardo Avenue, Solana Beach. The male victim, 33, reported stolen miscellaneous items ($2,900). 

McFadden, 32, was arrested at 11:30 a.m. on March 16 at Carlsbad Village Drive, Carlsbad, and booked at the Vista Detention Facility for a felony under another agency’s warrant.

Nelson, 37, was arrested at 1:16 p.m. on March 16 at Leucadia Boulevard, Encinitas and booked at the Vista Detention Facility for violating parole. 

Gumeta, 25, was arrested at 3:23 p.m. on March 16 at Encinitas Boulevard, Encinitas, and booked at the Vista Detention Facility for assault with a deadly weapon.

Choukri, 30, was arrested at 6:00 p.m. on March 16 at Snapdragon Street, Encinitas, and booked at the Vista Detention Facility for a felony bench warrant.

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for a temporary restraining order at 3:00 a.m. on March 17 at Crest Road, Del Mar. 

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for residential burglary at 1:40 p.m. on March 17 at Sante Fe Avenue, Del Mar. 

Garcia, 33, was arrested at 6:04 p.m. on March 17 at North El Camino Real, Home Depot, Encinitas and booked at the Vista Detention Facility for knowingly receiving stolen property.

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for fraud at 3:41 p.m. on March 17 at Verdi Avenue, Cardiff by the Sea. The female victim, 58, reported stolen personal identifying information. 

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call to assist another agency at 4:27 p.m. on March 17 at North Vulcan Avenue, Encinitas. 

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for a suspicious person at 5:07 a.m. on March 18 at Nolbey Street, Encinitas. The male victim, 58, reported stolen automotive parts ($3,000). 

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for fraud at 9:09 p.m. on March 18 at Lauren Court, Encinitas. The female victim, 65, reported stolen identifying information.

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for found property at 10:57 p.m. on March 18 at East D Street, Encinitas Transit Center, Encinitas. 

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call to assist another agency at 5:17 p.m. on March 18 at Valleda Lane, Encinitas. The female victim, 60, reported a burned boat. 

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for an in-progress residential burglary at 8:32 p.m. on March 19 at Via de las Palmas, Rancho Santa Fe. 

Machiavelli, 39, was arrested at 4:44 p.m. on March 18 at North El Camino Real, Encinitas, for possessing a leaded cane. 

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for vandalism at 9:00 a.m. on March 19 at Leucadia Scenic Court, Encinitas. The female victim, 65, reported a destroyed wall ($100). 

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for fraud at 3:14 p.m. on March 19 at Neptune Avenue, Encinitas. The male victim, 59, reported stolen bills and coins ($3,500). 

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for vehicle burglary at 6:51 p.m. on March 19 at Jimmy Durante Boulevard, Del Mar. The male victim, 20, reported stolen miscellaneous items ($18,750). 

Long, 26, was arrested at 11:09 p.m. on March 19 at Plato Place, Encinitas, and booked at the Vista Detention Facility for a felony under another agency’s warrant. 

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for a stolen vehicle at 8:33 a.m. on March 20 at Cerro Street, Encinitas. The male victim, 44, reported a stolen white/silver utility trailer ($2,692). 

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for a stolen vehicle at 10:39 a.m. on March 20 at Crest Drive, Encinitas. The male victim, 41, reported a stolen black/yellow dump truck ($10,000). 

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for vandalism at 4:14 p.m. on March 20 at Garden View Road, Encinitas. The male victim, 46, reported a destroyed automobile ($12,000).

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for residential burglary at 5:25 p.m. on March 20 at Avenida de las Lilas, Encinitas. The female victim, 71, reported a stolen bicycle ($3,307). 

Pablo Cruz, 54, was arrested at 6:33 p.m. on March 20 at South Vulcan Avenue, Encinitas, and booked at the Vista Detention Facility for disorderly conduct under the influence of alcohol. 

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for an armed robbery at 6:45 p.m. on March 20 at Santa Fe Drive, Scripps, Encinitas. The male victim, 39, reported a stolen wallet, bills and coins ($40), and identification card. 

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for a stolen vehicle at 7:53 a.m. on March 20 at Cape Sebastian Place, Cardiff by the Sea. The male victim, 64, reported a stolen burgundy 4-door sedan ($2,000). 

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for grand theft at 8:08 a.m. on March 20 at Glenmont Drive, Encinitas. The male victim, 46, and female victim, 48, reported stolen automotive parts ($3,000).

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for vehicle burglary at 9:18 a.m. on March 21 at Camino Del Mar, Del Mar. The male victim, 46, reported a stolen cell phone ($100), bills and coins ($100), and a wallet. 

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for a stolen vehicle at 2:25 p.m. on March 21 at Elon Lane, Encinitas. The female victim, 25, reported a stolen white utility vehicle ($5,000).

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for food tampering at 4:29 p.m. on March 21 at North El Camino Real, Encinitas.

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for a temporary restraining order at 8:10 a.m. on March 17 at Lomas Santa Fe Drive, Home Goods, Solana Beach.

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for fraud at 10:49 p.m. on March 21 at 4th Street, Encinitas. The female victim, 73, reported stolen personal identifying information. 

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for fraud at 11:17 p.m. on March 21 at Gloxina Street, Encinitas. The female victim, 57, reported stolen personal identifying information. 

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for petty theft at 8:37 p.m. on March 21 at South Highway 101, CVS Pharmacy, Solana Beach. The victim, CVS, reported stolen miscellaneous items ($200). 

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for a stolen vehicle at 7:37 a.m. on March 22 at 8th Street, Del Mar. The male victim, 61, and female victim, 62, reported a stolen silver 4-door sedan ($6,000). 

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for fraud at 11:45 p.m. on March 22 at West Solana Circle, Solana Beach. The male victim, 49, reported stolen bills and coins ($19,000).

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for residential burglary at 1:44 p.m. on March 22 at South Sierra Avenue, Solana Beach. 

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for a stolen vehicle at 4:39 p.m. on March 22 at Saxony Road, Encinitas. 

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for a medical examiner’s case at 8:26 p.m. on March 22 at Neptune Avenue, Encinitas. 

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for grand theft at 8:57 a.m. on March 22 at Coneflower Street, Encinitas. The male victim, 31, reported stolen automotive parts ($3,000). 

Ullman, 55, was arrested at 11:40 a.m. on March 23 at Riverside Drive, Oceanside, for a misdemeanor citation and was released on an active warrant. 

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for fraud at 11:03 a.m. on March 23 at Wildflower Valley Drive, Encinitas. The female victim, 65, reported stolen personal identifying information.

Lyon, 28, was arrested at 2:55 p.m. on March 23 at Oceanside Boulevard, Oceanside, for a misdemeanor citation and was released on an active warrant. 

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for petty theft at 8:15 p.m. on March 23 at Lomas Santa Fe Drive, Solana Beach. The victim, Big 5, reported stolen miscellaneous items ($144). 

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for vandalism at 9:40 a.m. on March 23 at North Coast Highway 101, Encinitas. The male victim, 65, reported destroyed miscellaneous property. 

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for grand theft at 11:16 a.m. on March 24 at Mango Drive, Del Mar. The male victim, 44, reported stolen automotive parts ($2,500). 

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for grand theft at 9:53 a.m. on March 24 at Red Barn Road, Encinitas. The male victim, 65, reported stolen automotive parts ($50,000). 

Lathrope, 35, was arrested at 1:19 a.m. on March 25 at South Coast Highway 101, Shelter Bar, Encinitas, and booked at the Vista Detention Facility for disorderly conduct under the influence of alcohol.

A.N. Harris, 34, was arrested at 3:20 a.m. on March 25 at San Elijo Avenue, Encinitas, for possessing controlled paraphernalia. 

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for grand theft at 11:51 a.m. on March 25 at South Coast Highway 101, Encinitas. The victim, Pacific Coast Grill, reported a stolen gas cylinder ($2,000). 

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for assault with a deadly weapon at 6:24 p.m. on March 25 at Calle Magdelena, In N Out Burger, Encinitas. The male victim, 41, sustained apparent minor injuries.

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for petty theft at 7:24 p.m. on March 25 at North El Camino Real, Encinitas. The female victim, 73, reported a stolen wallet ($35), credit cards, and bills and coins ($25). 

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for petty theft at 7:27 p.m. on March 25 at Nob Avenue, Del Mar. The male victim, 62, reported a stolen license plate ($23). 

Hernandez, 23, was arrested at 1:45 a.m. on March 26 at South Coast Highway 101, Shelter Bar, Encinitas,  and booked at the Vista Detention Facility for disorderly conduct under the influence of alcohol. 

Harper, 36, was arrested at 2:55 a.m. on March 26 at Encinitas Boulevard, Days Inn, Encinitas, for possessing narcotic controlled substances and paraphernalia. 

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for a stolen vehicle at 7:44 a.m. on March 26 at 8th Street, Del Mar. The male victim, 61, and female victim, 61, reported a stolen light blue/silver automobile ($6,000).
