Vista Farmers Market growing

VISTA — The Vista Farmers Market, the first Certified Farmers Market in San Diego County, recently expanded and reshaped on March 26. This was reportedly the largest expansion of any farmers market in the state in one day — more than 30 percent larger. This is a permanent expansion that will make the market easier to shop, understand, and appreciate.
Almost every farmer, foodmaker and artisan will be moved to a different space in the reshaping, and an entirely new row of foodmakers and vendors will be added.
This realignment will bring the market more space for hot food vendors, a new seating area for customers (near the weekly live music), and bring the farmers together.
This arrangement will create an additional “food boulevard” for the increasingly creative local food entrepreneurs.
The Vista Farmers Market is held every Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon at the County Courthouse, 325 S. Melrose Drive. Call (760) 945-7425 or e-mail [email protected] to learn more.
