VISTA — In line with the current concerns of recession, increasing unemployment and business downsizing, many businesses are facing a new kind of challenge. Employees are in fear of potentially losing their jobs, of losing their houses, and losing their livelihood. In turn, employers are seeking ways to ease those fears.
The Vista Chamber of Commerce recognizes this unique need and, in line with providing resources to help their members succeed, has spearheaded a quarterly breakfast roundtable focused on the human resource needs of local business owners, their staff, and managers.
“These roundtable events will provide the necessary training to all individuals involved in some capacity of human resources with their companies in an easy to implement manner,” said Cheryl Protzeller, a consultant for the Small Business Development Center and the Vista Chamber of Commerce HR Committee Chair. “It is our goal to have attendees leave the event with tools they can use immediately
Powered by The Vista Chamber of Commerce, The Small Business Development Center, Aptera, and Borrit & Fichter, Inc, the event will cover “Reduce Fear … Retain Starts … Return Value” from 7:30 to 9 a.m. June 10. The event will be held at SAIC, at 2985 Scott Street.
