Unclaimed property available for view

CARLSBAD — Unclaimed property is available for viewing for residents who have been victims of a theft or burglary, Aug. 27 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at
the Carlsbad Police Department.
Residential and vehicle burglaries that took place between May 1 and July 15, 2011 in Carlsbad, Oceanside and San Marcos, have been the subject of an extensive investigation by the police and sheriff’s department, which resulted in the seizure of numerous items.
Authorities welcome anyone who was victimized during that time period to attend the viewing, which is being held in the conference rooms at the station.
The collection of property includes items such as watches, laptops, a camera, miscellaneous gold and silver jewelry and costume jewelry, iPods, GPS and other electronic devices.
Victims of stolen items are asked to bring proof of ownership, such as photographs, serial numbers, police reports, or receipts, to assist authorities in identifying belongings.
The Carlsbad Police Department is at 2560 Orion Way.
