ENCINITAS — There is a special group that offers fun and a vocal therapy program for people with Parkinson’s disease. The Tremble Clefs meet every week for lots of singing, socializing and preparation for sharing music with the greater community.Posing the question, “Have you ever thought about singing to help improve your voice?” the group has extended an invitation to anyone with Parkinson’s who might be interested. No singing experience is necessary, and the program is free for anyone with Parkinsons, their friends, caregivers, and relatives. Rehearsals are every Tuesday from 1 to 2:30 p.m. at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church, 890 Balour Drive.
The group wants others in the community to see what people with Parkinson’s sufferers can do rather than what they cannot. Participants not only practice stretching, breathing and singing exercises to strengthen their voices, but bring joy by performing at a variety of venues throughout San Diego County.
