VISTA — Toys for Tots, an organization that helps needy children experience the joys of Christmas each year, have initiated a holiday toy drive. New, unwrapped gifts are collected and given to youngsters that provide a message of hope.
This November and December, applications can be filled out and dropped off at the Boys & Girls Club of Vista at 410 West California Ave. Applications can be turned in on Monday, Wednesdays and Fridays between the hours of 2:30 and 5 p.m. The deadline is Dec. 5. Residents of the Tri-County area must provide proof of child dependency, proof of residency and proof of income. Applications can be downloaded at www.toysfortots.org.
