OCEANSIDE — Despite some texture and tough waves at the south side of the Oceanside Pier, surfers were still able to get in a few good rides and show what they could do on their longboards. The Oceanside Longboard Surfing Club hosted its annual surf competition and 15^th annual Guy Takayama Pro Noseriding and Pro Open event the weekend of Aug. 7 through Aug. 9.
