Third suspect charged in Kilgore murder

VISTA — A third person was charged with murder for the involvement in the death of a 22-year-old Fallbrook military wife who was killed last month.

Dorothy GraceMarie Maraglino, 36, of Fallbrook, pleaded not guilty at the May 15 arraignment, following her arrest May 10 at a San Diego hotel.

Two others charged in the case, Marine Corps Staff Sgt. Louis Perez, 45, and Jessica Lynn Lopez, 25, both have listed their residence at Maraglino’s home in Fallbrook.

All three have pleaded not guilty, and each is being held on $3 million bail; each faces 25-years-to-life in prison if convicted of the murder charges.

Deputy District Attorney Patrick Espinoza said Kilgore was an innocent victim whose only connection to the defendants is that she and a friend had previously gone to Maraglino’s house to purchase something that was listed for sale online.

Maraglino is said to have lured Kilgore to accompany Perez on a dinner cruise in San Diego on April 13, the night Kilgore was murdered.

Soon after Kilgore sent a text message to a friend saying only, “help.”

According to the prosecutor, Perez sent a text to Maraglino, asking her to come to their Fallbrook home.

Espinoza said the investigation showed that the homicide took place at that location.

Kilgore’s body was found on April 17 in brush near Riverside County’s Lake Skinner.

The victim’s blood, along with a weapon, was found in Perez’s vehicle, Espinoza said at a previous court hearing.
