OCEANSIDE — City Council voted to dissolve the Integrated Waste Commission and give its responsibilities of advisement and implementing solid waste and recycling programs to the Utilities Commission on Sept. 25.
OCEANSIDE — City Council voted down drafting an ordinance to ban sales of dogs unless dogs are obtained through the humane society, a nonprofit animal rescue organization, or Oceanside breeder.
OCEANSIDE — Residents in the Fire Mountain neighborhood have collected 60 signatures requesting the city install street calming measures on Laurel Road.

OCEANSIDE — City Council voted to send legislators a letter opposing SB-7, which if passed, will not allow charter cities that have a prevailing wage exemption to receive state funding for building projects.
OCEANSIDE — Shortly after Mayor Jim Wood won reelection the Council majority of Jerry Kern, Gary Felien and Jack Feller worked dogmatically to remove Wood from his seat on the SANDAG board.
OCEANSIDE — Preliminary results show the incumbent mayor and council members will keep their seats.
