OCEANSIDE — A fourth person accused of kidnapping an El Cajon teen with the intent of selling her into prostitution pleaded not guilty Oct. 3 at an arraignment in a Vista Superior Court.
Dominique Willis, 19, is charged with a single count each of kidnap for extortion, human trafficking, robbery, sexual battery by restraint and pimping. Shawndrea Nicole Dorrough, 22; Patrick Jones, 20; and Dywane Pierre Tousant, 22, are also charged with the aforementioned counts. The trio pleaded not guilty to the charges a day earlier.
Bail has been set at $500,000 for all four defendants. If convicted, they each face up to life in prison.
The 14-year-old girl was taken to the Oceanside Inn on Sept. 30 and forced to disrobe, Deputy District Attorney Brenda Daly said. Pictures were then taken of her with the intent to post them on Craigslist.org to solicit prostitution.
Due to the ongoing investigation, Daly said she was limited to what she could say about further specifics in the case.
Police said the victim got lost while riding the trolley in San Diego. She was walking to a friend’s house in North Park when the defendants offered her a ride. The teen was able to escape and get to a phone to call the police after the foursome fell asleep.
Despite the traumatic incident, Daly said the victim is doing “remarkably well.”
“She certainly went through an ordeal that she’ll never want to go through again,” the prosecutor said.
All the defendants are scheduled to be back in court Oct. 14 for a readiness conference. An Oct. 16 trail date has been set.
