OCEANSIDE — It’s all about camps at Ivey Ranch this time of year. How about horse camp for adults? From 9 a.m. to noon, Aug. 13 through Aug. 17, 110 Rancho del Oro Drive. Brand new to horses? Volunteering with them on the ground but no riding experience? You’ve ridden some but would love more time? No problem. The ranch has arranged a special week for adults to have the riding fun — just like the youngsters.
Plan on joining in to ride, participate in ground training, and learn more about horse science. Cost is $250 and enrollment paperwork can be found at iveyranch.com. Reservations and deposit are required required. Call (760) 722-4839 or e-mail [email protected] for more information.
Advanced riders – there is a week for you, too from 9 a.m. to noon Aug. 6 to Aug. 10. Cost is $250 and they already have your paperwork if you rode during the previous school year. Payment is due by July 30 to participate.
Next Ivey Ranch suggests you save the date of Sept. 8 for the eighth annual Western Hoedown, its annual horse show and fundraiser. The afternoon includes rider demonstrations, raffles and silent auctions, a meal by Outback Steakhouse, and more.
