SOLANA BEACH — As part of its mission to support and showcase the local arts, the Solana Beach Art Association has partnered with Del Mar’s The Book Works in the community spirit of presenting a poetry jam that will celebrate Spring Renewal from 4 to 5:30 p.m. March 22. The event will be held at The Book Works, located in the Flower Hill Shopping Center, 2670 Via de la Valle. All are welcome to participate in this free family friendly celebration that pairs a poetry recital with visual art.
There will be an open mic for anyone who wishes to share his or her springtime themed original work of poetry. Refreshments will be provided. Participants must sign up at. The event is limited to the first 30 who sign up. Poems, appropriate for family enjoyment, should be no more than 20 lines.
