DEL MAR — Runners can still register for the RedNose 5k Run/Walk the day of the 2 p.m. event Dec. 14 at Powerhouse Park in Del Mar Beach.Fresh Start Surgical Gifts, a local nonprofit that provides free reconstructive surgery for children with physical deformities and the Low and Slow Running Club of Del Mar have teamed up to host the 21st annual run.
The race kicks off at 2 p.m., and participants can choose between a 5k or 3k route along the beach. Registration for the event is $50 per registrant. All runners and walkers are invited to sport their best holiday apparel for a run that will benefit Fresh Start Surgical Gifts and the Semper Fi Fund, which provides financial assistance to wounded service members and their families while they recover.
