A weekend-long, grand-opening event for the newest location of Menchie’s Frozen Yogurt, at 6617 Paseo Del Norte in Carlsbad, will start with a 10:45 a.m. Feb. 4 ribbon-cutting ceremony. From 4 to 8 p.m. Feb. 4, it will host a fundraiser, donating 100 percent of its proceeds to the Boy’s & Girls Club of Carlsbad. Free gift bags will be given to the first 20 customers each day beginning at 11 a.m., plus free samples from noon to 2 p.m. From noon to 2 p.m. Feb. 5 there will be children’s color-in T-shirts and from noon to 2 p.m. Feb. 6 will be free face-painting.
