New health clinic in Oceanside

OCEANSIDE — North County Health Services, a nonprofit community healthcare organization in North County, opened a new health center at 3220 Mission Ave. offering primary care, preventative care and health education to both children and adults.
“We are the largest, most comprehensive and oldest community health clinic system in North County and it’s important to us that we are accessible to our patients throughout the region,” said Irma Cota, president and chief executive officer at NCHS.
“The need for providing low-cost, quality comprehensive services will continue to be a priority. NCHS plans to meet the growing demand for affordable healthcare by adding additional medical offices such as this new facility on Mission Avenue, and a new health center building in Oceanside next month.”
Located in a low-income apartment complex, this new addition to the family of NCHS health centers will not only serve apartment residents, but will also improve patient access by serving overflow from two other NCHS facilities in Oceanside. Apartment residents will have easy access to medical care steps away from their front door, reducing inappropriate use of emergency rooms.
With a spacious floor plan of approximately 2,473 square feet, this new facility has a comfortable waiting area, six exam rooms, two provider offices, a lab and a conference/education room. This new health center will serve approximately 2,000 patients per year.
