COAST CITIES — The registration deadline for the Miracle League is July 15.
Player, buddy, coach and volunteer registration is now available online at www.miracleleague.com for the fall 2009 season which will run from Sept. 19 through Nov. 14.
In 1998, the Rockdale Youth Baseball Association in Georgia formed the Miracle League to provide opportunities for all children to play baseball regardless of their ability. The league sees that each child gets to dress in a uniform, make plays in the field, and round the bases just like their healthy peers and Community children and volunteers serve as ‘buddies’ to assist the players.
Every reasonable effort is made to accommodate those who wish to participate in Miracle League. However, late registrations are burdensome on its small staff and the volunteers that help manage our registration process. An additional fee of $25 will be added to the $50 registration fee for players that sign-up after the July 15 deadline. Timely registration from everyone (players, buddies, coaches, volunteers) will enable the league to form teams and communicate assignments in a timelier manner.
