ENCINITAS — Class-Arts, Children, Technology, or Class-ACT, a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting children and families in the developing world, is holding a Pancake Breakfast fundraiser from 8:30 to noon April 30 at the San Dieguito United Methodist Church, 170 Calle Magdalena.
Proceeds from this event will support Class-ACT’s Microloans for Mothers program, which provides microloans to women in the developing world to help start their own businesses. Pancake plates with sausage are $5 for a small, $7 for medium, and $10 for large. A large order includes a raffle ticket for a pro-signed skateboard and other items.
Pancakes will be cooked and served by members of the Encinitas Firefighters Association. The event features pro skateboard demonstrations by Nate Sherwood and local skateboarder Tylre Wilcox, plus autographs by the skaters. Entertainment will be provided by the Peanut Butter Cookies Band at 9 a.m., 10 a.m. and 11 a.m., with Kinderdance at 8:30 a.m., and Kehuli O Kahlani Hawaiian dancers at 10:30 a.m.
