Love is in the air at St. James

SOLANA BEACH — The students and teachers of St. James Academy will host their 18th annual Valentine’s Day baby shower for homeless women and families Feb. 13. This tradition provides much needed baby supplies for homeless women and families in San Diego County shelters.
Many shelters for women and families have limited budgets for infant and toddler supplies, such as diapers, formula, baby food and bottles. The students’ contributions help to fill that need in six shelters throughout San Diego County. Since the early 1990s, St. James Academy has worked with the American Association of University Women to provide these gifts to the shelters.
“This is a wonderful opportunity to help those less fortunate and I am so proud of the generosity and enthusiasm shown by our St. James students every year at the baby shower,” St. James Academy Principal Donna Kruszona said.
