LEUCADIA — The Leucadia 101 MainStreet Association will host its fourth annual “Howl O’Ween,” a walkabout along Leucadia’s Highway 101 business district from 3 to 6 p.m., Oct. 27, featuring a pet parade and pet costume contest.The evening is sponsored by Coastal Animal Hospital and Doggywood Pet Training. There is a $5 entrance fee for the contest, which will be donated in total to Rancho Coastal Humane Society.
The participating businesses for the event will be the contest judges as people drop by the stores. Entry forms and pet “trick or treat bags” are available at the following Encinitas businesses:
— Rancho Coastal Humane Society, 389 Requeza St.
— Leucadia Floral & Plant Lady and Doggywood, both at 1114 N. Coast Highway 101
— Coastal Animal Hospital, 434 N. Coast Highway 101
— Leucadia 101 Main Street office, 386 N. Coast Highway 101.
Volunteers from Rancho Coastal Humane Society will be at the event with dogs available for adoption and information about their organization.
