Del Mar needs to start with City Hall
I just came across the article in today’s (Jan. 15) San Diego Union-Tribune entitled “City takes steps to freshen up downtown.”
If the city of Del Mar really wants to “freshen up downtown” and “attract investors, development, businesses … ” and make downtown more marketable, take a hard look at Del Mar City Hall. So much for civic pride. This public meeting place, information center and public offices are located in a horrendous building. Its aesthetics are nill and the interior working conditions for the city manager and the city’s employees are laughable. It’s embarrassing. And, the public bathrooms there are a whole ‘nuther story.
