COAST CITIES — The League of Women Voters North Coast is presenting the pros and cons of the state ballot measures and the county Fire Parcel tax measure at two separate unit meetings.
The San Dieguito unit which includes residents of Encinitas, Solana Beach, Rancho Santa Fe and Del Mar will make its presentation at 1 p.m. Oct. 15 at the San Diego National Bank, 131 N. El Camino Real in Encinitas.
The Carlsbad, Oceanside and Vista unit is meeting at 10 a.m. Oct. 16 at La Posada de Guadalupe, 2476 Impala Drive in Carlsbad.
League experts will discuss both sides of the 12 state ballot measures on the November ballot, including the four state bond measures No. 1A, No. 3, No. 10 and No. 12; the three social issues, No. 2, No. 4 and No. 8; the three criminal justice issues No. 5, No. 6 and No. 9 and one on energy, No.7 and one on redistricting. No. 11. Also included in the discussion will be the County Fire Protection Parcel tax measure Proposition A. A question and answer period will follow the presentation.
