OCEANSIDE — Mission San Luis Rey will welcome the California Mission riders at the church grounds, 4050 Mission Ave., beginning at 3:30 p.m. Oct. 14.On Aug. 18, the California Mission riders began their horseback journey at Mission San Francisco Solana with plans to visit all 21 California Missions. Their goal is “to discover life and land of current communities in their mission era context.”
While the riders are in town, there will be a “Tacos & Talk” event at 5:30 p.m. Oct. 14 at the San Luis Rey Restaurant & Bakery, 490 N. El Camino Real. On Oct. 15 at 11 a.m., join the riders in a “Behind the Scenes” tour at Mission San Luis Rey.
Tickets can be purchased at the museum the day of the event. At 5:30 p.m. Oct. 11, join the California Mission riders in a free meet-and-greet event at Pablo Tac Hall on the Mission San Luis Rey grounds.
