ENCINITAS — The Misti Washington Gourd and Basket Guild is sponsoring “Fiber From All Directions III” through Aug. 27 at the Encinitas Library, 540 Cornish Drive, to preserve, promote and perpetuate the appreciation of gourd and basket art.Artists on display as part of the show include Sandie Brook, Polly Jacobs Giacchina, Barbara Jones, Carol E. Lang, Judy Soaringhawk, Nadine Spier, Grace Swanson, Don Weeke, Peggy Wiedemann, Nannette Wood and Willie Ziegler.
The Guild meets on the first Sunday of each month at San Diego Botanic Garden and offers a variety of events and weaving support to its members at all levels. For more information on the guild, go to baskets-gourds.com.
