VISTA — The Vista Garden Club holds an annual Scholarship Luncheon each year in November to raise money to fund scholarships for MiraCosta College horticulture students. This year was the club’s best ever as they made a profit of $4,200, which will provide four $1,000 scholarships.
The Vista Garden Club was organized in 1930. The club currently has 115 members and is still growing. The objectives of the club are to stimulate the knowledge and love of gardening, to aid in the protection of native trees, plants and birds, to encourage civic planting, to foster good fellowship and to support and promote national, regional, state and district projects. If you are interested in joining, call (760) 726-8737.
