CARLSBAD — The Buena Vista Audubon Society invites families to add its Children’s Day at Buena Vista Lagoon to their summer fun calendar, for a day of nature crafts, games and stories from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. July 22. The whole day is especially geared for youngsters.Drop by the Audubon Nature Center, 2201 S. Coast Highway 101. The entire day is free and includes refreshments, prizes and a day full of scheduled activities, including:
— Bird Bingo, 10:30 a.m.
— Lagoon Aquatic Life Discovery, 11 a.m.
— Nature Trail “Scent Walk,” noon
— Nature Storytime, 1 p.m.
— Nature Craft, 1:30 p.m.
Activities that will go on all day include:
— Animal Tracking Adventure
— Acorn Guessing Contest
— Nature Center Scavenger Hunt
— Nature Trail Treasure Hunt
— Butterfly Floor Puzzle
