Encinitas plans December building inspections

ENCINITAS — The city’s administrative offices will be closed Dec. 24 through Jan. 1. Per the municipal code, no construction activities shall occur on Saturdays, Sundays or any city-recognized holiday. During this year’s Christmas holiday break, city Building and Engineering inspectors will be conducting inspections on current, active permits on Dec. 26, Dec. 27, and Dec. 30.

The public is encouraged to contact the city’s Planning Division at (760) 633-2710 for any requests, services or permits prior to the week of Dec. 23, before the holiday office closure. During the holiday office closure, the public may contact the Public Works Department at (760) 633-2922 for any concerns or to report an emergency relating to Streets, Wastewater or Water. Customers can access many of the city’s services online 24/7 using the Customer Self Service (CSS) portal found at Through CSS, you can conduct business with the city from home, office, or mobile device. Registered users have access to a number of online services, such as paying for a permit invoice or checking on the status of a permit or plan.
