Encinitas author brings mystery to E Street

ENCINITAS — Encinitas resident, F. James Greco, includes the Self-Realization Fellowship Meditation Garden at Swami’s, among other San Diego-area locales in his history-based debut novel, “Falling Down: A Tale of Addiction, Betrayal & Murder.”Greco will discuss the book at a book signing and reading from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Feb. 24 at the “E” Street Café, 128 W. E St.

Falling Down depicts sexual addiction, family betrayal and serial murder within a plot that employs factual events, places and individuals with which the novel’s characters interact as they strive to capture truth, love, wealth and success while avoiding personal obsessions of power, wealth, sex and drugs.

The author, a journalist and former attorney, has lived or worked within the San Diego area since 1974. He has been an Encinitas resident for more than seven years.

Prior to dedicating his efforts to writing fiction, Greco worked as an aide to two city of San Diego councilmembers, as a redevelopment agency executive, a professional land planner, and an adjunct professor. Greco and his wife Jane have two married sons.
