The one-day campaign is part of Giving Day, an annual CSUSM tradition where various campus groups attempt to raise funds for the upcoming year.
The Cougar Chronicle covers CSUSM-related stories and is funded by ad sales and donations. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the newspaper has struggled to earn significant revenue from advertising, making donations especially needed.
The newspaper is entirely student-run, giving aspiring journalists a place to practice reporting, editing, photography, videography, graphic design, advertising sales, web design and social media.
The Cougar Chronicle is grateful for all gifts, big or small, which will help ensure future success of the program.
To donate, visit http://csusm.imodules.com/s/1932/dg20/project.aspx?sid=1932&gid=2&pgid=545 any time on Dec. 1 and click the blue “Give Now” button.
