Coterie Celli comes to Carmel Valley

CARMEL VALLEY — A free family music program sponsored by the Friends of the Carmel Valley Library, 3919 Townsgate Drive, will present the cello-ensemble music of Coterie Celli at 7 p.m. July 31 in the library’s community room.The group is under the Greater San Diego Music Coterie, founded by Angela Yeung, and includes a mix of original works and arrangements for cello ensemble, from Latin tunes to classical pieces. It will last 45 minutes.

Since its inception, Coterie Celli has performed in San Diego at public libraries, churches, the Ronald MacDonald House, and most recently at two public performances with the Greater San Diego Community Chorus and Orchestra. Its current members are Bonnie Bertolaet, Aaron Bullard, Susan Cramer, Mark Delin, Vanessa Dinning, Bailey Gordon, Eric Hagen, Grace Harvey, Evelyn Kooperman, Pat McClure, Wayne Pritchard, Mark Sawyer, Stephanie Sontag, Martha Terzich, and Cliff Thrasher. The occupations of these cellists include a dental hygienist, pediatrician, San Diego Opera staff member, nurse, judge, middle school music teacher, educator, college student, librarian, city manager, and biologist.
