COAST CITIES — The San Diego Chapter of Childhelp will hold its monthly lunch meeting at 11:30 a.m. Oct. 21 at Bentley’s Steak and Chop House, 162 S. Rancho Santa Fe Road. Childhelp’s 22nd annual Holiday Fantasia shopping event will be held Dec. 5 at the Four Seasons Aviara Hotel, 7100 Four Seasons Point, Carlsbad.
Shopping with a special group of vendors begins at 9:30 a.m. and ends at 4 p.m. Included in the day’s schedule are lunch, entertainment and auctions. Childish Couture in Encinitas will present a children’s fashion show modeled by children and grandchildren of its members.
The annual “For The Love of a Child” award, will be given to Gayle Fulbright, the owner of Headlines for Hair in Encinitas.
It is given each year to someone who has made a contribution to stop child abuse. Fulbright, along with Eufora Products, has hosted cut-a-thons all across the United States to raise money for Childhelp.
