CARDIFF-BY-THE-SEA — Green/Flash Art Gallery will launch its latest art show with an opening party from 5 to 10 p.m. Feb. 12, 111 Chesterfield Drive.
The opening will debut Surf to Street: Da Freshest Urban Art Show Ever, which will run through March 4. Exhibiting artists include Monstrinho, Persue, Neko, Kevin Peterson, Tocayo and Surge.
Surf to Street is an all-male urban art group show focusing on canvases, prints, illustration and merchandise of emerging San Diego urban artists. Explorations of graffiti, urban illustration, tattoo art, portraiture and street cred will be emphasized. Large major paintings, smaller works, drawings and photography will all live together. The exhibition promises to be a bold exposé of urban art from a male perspective, highlighting new works by a synergistic group of talented urban artists Featuring artwork by Monstrinho, Persue, Neko, Kevin Peterson, Tocayo and Surge.
The atmosphere will be enhanced by the sounds of DJ Leif and photographer Laena Brandenburg. The curator is Marta Karwowska.
