OCEANSIDE — Surfers, beachgoers and all ocean sports enthusiasts are revving up for the fourth annual gala celebrating The California Surf Museum’s 25th anniversary June 11 for a festive evening of gourmet food, beverage and desserts.
The doors open at 5 p.m. for the gala at the California Surf Museum, 312 Pier View Way. Tickets are on sale now for $95, only $65 for museum members and available for your convenience in the Online Museum Store at surfmuseum.org. Or call (760) 721-6876 to purchase tickets or the Groovy VIP package.
Attendees can also enjoy San Diego musician John Hall, both silent and live auctions, special VIP and surf legends appearances, prize giveaways and raffles. As always, all proceeds raised allow the United States’ oldest and most famous surf museum to continue to chronicle and preserve the history, culture, lifestyle, art and legacy of surfing.
Gourmet food from 333 Pacific, Harney Sushi and Pedro’s Tacos will be served, with beverages by Kona Brewing Company, Longboard Vineyards and Smartwater.
Items for the live and silent auctions include opportunities to enjoy passes to activities, amusement parks, boat trips, travel, artwork, new restaurants, surf memorabilia, spas, sports packages, jewelry, all while mingling with surf legends and fellow ocean-lovers.
This event happens once a year, but its importance to the museum is forever. Funds raised from the gala will assist the California Surf Museum in its growth and outreach to the community.
The California Surf Museum serves as an international repository and resource center for the lifestyle sport of surfing through capturing, preserving and chronicling its art, culture and heritage for the education and enjoyment of future generations. The California Surf Museum is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
Call (760) 721-6876 or e-mail [email protected]. The museum is open daily from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. with extended hours Thursdays to 8 p.m.
