Bike trips just got easier

CARLSBAD — Visitors to the Carlsbad Street Fair on Nov. 1 can discover a new, healthy and green way to explore and photograph beautiful places. Photographers and nature lovers can book a tour on a lithium-powered electric bicycle with a range of 50 miles on a single charge.
Local physicist Lou Shrinkle and photographer Bob Bretell have combined forces and talents to come up with a completely unique activity which many camera bugs will find irresistible. Their company, Electric Bike Photo Tours, takes small groups of photo enthusiasts on single- and multi-day eco friendly trips to Torrey Pines, Palomar Mountain, Sequoia National Monument, Joshua Tree, San Diego Botanic Gardens and Anza Borrego Desert.
Trips include full suspension electric bikes, tour guides, a full day of photo instruction and even a box lunch. Photo cyclists will enjoy clean air, beautiful scenery, photo critiques and good company. The electric bikes are easy to operate providing you know how to ride a bike, and bike safety is emphasized on each trip along with a one- or two-hour lesson and lots of peddle practice time.
Come check out the bikes at the Carlsbad Street Fair at booth No. 108 on Washington Street, near the Coyote Bar and Grill or visit www.electricbikephototours.com for more information.
