Arizona congressman discusses current government spending

RANCHO SANTA FE — If you are concerned about the spending activities of the government, The Rancho Santa Fe Republican Women’s Club is hosting Congressman John B. Shadegg, R-Ariz., on the topic “April Fool-Us-No-More: Follow the Constitution” at 6 p.m. April 17 at the Rancho Santa Fe Golf Club.
Shadegg has authored the “Enumerated Powers Act,” H.R. 450, a bill that would require “Congress to specify the source of authority under the United States Constitution for the enactment of laws, and for other purposes.”
George Mason University Professor Walter Williams, PhD stated, “Congressmen, openly refusing to live up to their oath of office, exhibit their deep contempt for our Constitution.” By signing onto HR 450, they can deny that charge.
The cost is $55 per person. Make check payable to RSFRWF, PO Box 1195, Rancho Santa Fe, CA 92067. For details, call Deana Carter at (858) 756-1566, or Jody Bray at (858) 756-1906.
