SOLANA BEACH — On May 19, La Femme Chic Consignment Boutique took customers from Cedros Avenue to Paris in Gucci and Louis Vuitton while saving money and retired racing Greyhounds.
Guests noshed on petits fours, enjoyed signature Greyhound cocktails and primped for photo shoots while shopping and winning opportunity drawing prizes. All of this and more took place at the Grand Opening Party for the now-open La Femme Chic Consignment Boutique at 415 S. Cedros Ave.
“The event was especially exciting for me to watch so many attendees win prizes that had been graciously donated from local merchants, said owner Janet Sinclair.”
Almost 200 attendees made the trip from all over North County, Del Sur, Rancho Santa Fe and San Diego. Already chic attendees became even more glamourous as they had their hair styled by Hair Addix of Carlsbad and their makeup touched up by Alexis K., also located on Cedros Avenue. Then, award-winning photographer, Kevin M. Connors at Coast Highway Photography shot complimentary photo shoots.
Prizes were awarded every few minutes including a multi-strand freshwater pearl necklace from Passion’s Fine Jewelry and three stunning photos from world-renowned photographer, Aaron Chang. Randee Stratton of Encinitas was thrilled to win the grand prize of a Louis Vuitton handbag. Sinclair also did a special giveaway of a Louis Vuitton Waist Belt Bag via participation in her VIP mobile club to receive exclusive Boutique SMS messages. Simply text Chic to 67777 to join.
All drawing proceeds,which totaled almost $1,500, were donated to the local Operation Greyhound. Sinclair recently adopted a rescued Greyhound and she also volunteers her time to help with the dedicated placement of other retired Greyhounds through this organization. Adopting primarily to loving homes in Southern California, Operation Greyhound is saving the lives of these incredible animals.
