Deputies arrest man in stabbings at the Belly Up

SOLANA BEACH – Sheriff’s deputies from the Encinitas Station responded to the Belly Up Tavern for a reported fight inside the music venue Thursday night. 

Arriving on scene, deputies learned that Jason Zamora, 23, had been involved in a fight. When security guards tried to intervene, Zamora pulled a knife and stabbed three victims. Each of the victims is a staff member of the bar. All three victims suffered minor injuries and were transported to area hospitals and later released after treatment.

Detectives were called and responded to the scene to assist with interviews and scene management. Zamora was arrested and booked into the Vista Detention Facility for an assault with a deadly weapon.
