ENCINITAS — Sheriff’s deputies received a call from an 18-year-old Hispanic woman, who reported a potential kidnapping where three males attempted to pull her into a small pick up truck Monday along the 500 block of Saxony Road. According to a Sheriff’s official, the woman told deputies that suspects attempted to pull her into a vehicle, and that she was able to fight her way out of the vehicle, which is described as a black pickup truck with orange horizontal stripes towards the top of the fenders. The vehicle was also said to have gardening equipment in the bed of the truck.To escape, the victim punched the driver and bit another suspect. The suspects released her from the vehicle and she ran to a nearby residence for help.
Deputies responded to the woman’s call on Saxony Road at 1:33 p.m.
One suspect was described as an Hispanic or white male with a thin build. Two other male adults were inside the truck. The driver was a heavy set Hispanic male about 30 to 40 years old. The other passenger was a thin Hispanic male about 25 to 35 years old.
