Never too old to boogie

ENCINITAS — Jean Isaacs San Diego Dance Theater will bring a modern dance workshop and performance opportunity
to the Encinitas Senior Center from 1 to 2 p.m. Jan. 4 through Feb. 8 at the Encinitas Senior Center (Dance Room 117)
1140 Oakcrest Park Drive. To register for the six free classes, call (619) 225-1803 to reserve your spot in the workshop.Seniors are invited to discover a new way of moving and expressing your inner dancer in this free workshop, which will end with a performance. The workshop will be taught by teacher-choreographer Yvonne Harguindeguy, a resident of Encinitas.

This “Aging Creatively” Satellite Program is a San Diego Dance Theater Project funded in part by the city of Encinitas and the Mizel Family Foundation Community Grant Program.

All levels of dance skill and physical abilities are encouraged to attend.
The goal is to increase flexibility, range of motion, balance and coordination. The final performance will be held with San Diego Dance Theater Company Dancers, titled “Romance through Generations” in the Banquet Room at the Encinitas Senior Center at 11:15 a.m. Feb. 15.
