ENCINITAS — The city of Encinitas has set up collection stations in the community for its holiday giving program, Toys for Tots.“This is that time of year where through the generosity of many we can bring joy and hope to hundreds of kids through the Toys for Tots program,” said City Manager Gus Vina.
The goal of the national organization is to deliver, through a new toy at Christmas, a message of hope to needy youngsters that will motivate them to grow into responsible, productive citizens and community leaders.
The public is requested to participate by bringing new, unwrapped toys to City Hall, 505 S. Vulcan Ave., the San Dieguito Water District/Encinitas Public Works, 160 Calle Magdalena or to any Encinitas fire station. Toys will be accepted through Dec. 17.
