Halstrom High dedicates new campus

CARLSBAD — Halstrom High School, founded in 1985 and one of two area schools offering a 1-to-1 teacher-student ratio, is conducting a ribbon cutting/grand re-opening for its campus in Carlsbad. The new campus, relocated from Vista, is at 705 Palomar Airport Road, Suite 350The grand opening event and open house will be held at 4:30 p.m. Oct. 11. A speaker from College Blueprint will be presenting the “Seven Secrets on Getting Into Your College of Choice” at 5:15 p.m. Halstrom student Alexandra “Scout” Thompson is in the news because she won Grand Champion for the 13-17 age group at the Del Sol horse show at Del Mar Horse Park.
