Musical adaptation of “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”

ENCINITAS — Intrepid Shakespeare Company will offer a Family Day performanceof Shakespeare’s comedy, “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” at 2 p.m. Sept. 16 at San Dieguito Academy’s Clayton E. Liggett Theatre, 800 Santa Fe Drive.

At that performance, all proceeds of the performance and concessions

will benefit Angels Foster Family Network

Music from the 1960s is woven together with Shakespeare’s storytelling. The cast of Midsummer includes such local favorites as Sandy Campbell (Titania), Tom Stephenson (Bottom), Brian Mackey (Demetrius), David McBean (Flute), TJ Johnson (Snout), Sean Cox (Oberon), Kevin Koppman-Gue (Lysander), Danny Campbell (Egeus), Taylor Peckham (Puck and musical

director), Eddie Yaroch (Peter Quince) and a four-piece band.

Angels Foster Family Network, a San Diego-based non-profit agency, have a unique focus on prevention, based on the stable placement of abused infants and toddlers with nurturing families who promote healing and critical attachment, resulting in healthy growth and development.
