The Cardiff Kook Run

CARDIFF-BY-THE-SEA — The Cardiff Kook Run saw runners of every ilk come out to participate in the 5K/10K race Feb. 5. The race was part of the celebration of the “greatest town on the map — on the greatest day of the year — Super Bowl Sunday.”The race began at Moonlight Beach in Encinitas and continued south along Coast Highway 101 to the famous Cardiff Kook statue. The race was founded by Steve Lebherz and Seth Brewer who said that “everybody should see this (route).”

    This is the best 5K of the year! I look forward to this race every year for the exciting costumes, family FUN, and of course the Cardiff-by-the-sea Ocean View. If you want to do something fun on your Sunday morning that makes you feel alive and connected to your community walk or run in this local race.
