Unidentified suspects sought for Vista burglary

VISTA — San Diego County Crime Stoppers and investigators from the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department’s Vista Station are asking for assistance from the public in identifying two suspects wanted for committing a commercial burglary in Vista.  

Investigators said that sometime between Jan. 14, 2012 at 6:30 P.M. and Jan. 15, 2012 at 9:00 a.m. unknown persons broke into the Vista Elks Lodge, located at 1947 East Vista Way.  The suspects took food, money and over $2,000 worth of California State Lottery tickets.

On the morning of Jan. 15, surveillance cameras captured images of two Hispanic males redeeming some of the stolen lottery tickets at various businesses in San Marcos.

Suspect #1 Description: The first suspect is described as a Hispanic male in his 30’s or 40’s, between 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet tall and weighing about 180 pounds.  He is thin with short dark brown or black hair.  He may have a mustache. He was last seen wearing a long sleeved black sweatshirt and jeans.

Suspect #2 Description: The second suspect is described as a Hispanic male, in his 30’s or 40’s, between 5 feet 6 inches to 5 feet 8 inches tall weighing about 220 pounds.  He is described as heavy set with a possible moustache.  He has dark brown or black bushy or wavy hair.  He was last seen wearing a black hat with some type of white emblem on the front, a blue or black sweatshirt with a hood and blue jeans.

Investigators are asking anyone with information on the identity and/or location of the persons responsible for this crime to call the Crime Stoppers anonymous tip line at (888) 580-8477. Crime Stoppers is offering up to a $1,000 reward to anyone with information that leads to an arrest in this case. Anonymous email and text messages can be sent in via sdcrimestoppers.com.
