ENCINITAS — The city of Encinitas, working with PAL General Engineering, Inc., have begun improvements on the pedestrian crossing on Leucadia Boulevard, between Coast Highway 101 and Vulcan Avenue.
The improvement project began Aug. 1 and is expected to last through Oct. 31. Workers will be on site from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
During the improvements, traffic may be delayed due to the deliveries of work site materials. Street parking in the area will be prohibited, and “no parking” signs will be posted along the street. Law enforcement will be enforcing the parking restrictions.
No interruptions in sewer, water, electric, gas or phone services are anticipated.
Officials advise that people sensitive to petroleum products should be aware that asphalt will be used in the project. They urge pets be kept inside or secured to assure their safety and that of the workers. Children should also be kept away from the work area.
