Inclusive theater program gears up for summer

ENCINITAS — An Inclusive Performing Arts eight-week workshop series will be held by Positive Action Community Theatre (PACT) on Saturdays at Dance North County, 535 Encinitas Boulevard, Suite 100, geared to include individuals with disabilities.
The first set of classes for teens and adults will be held from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. July 9 to Aug. 27
The cost for the eight-week series is $150.
Theatre workshops will also be held Saturdays, 2:30 to 4 p.m. July 9 through Aug. 27. Tuition is $175 for the eight-week series. Teen/Adult Inclusive Dance Workshops will also be held on Satudrays from 4 to 5 p.m. July 9 through Aug. 27, featuring Salsa, country, Hip Hop, etc. The cost is $150 for the eight-week series.
“The goal is to achieve a 50/50 combination of those with and without disabilities,” said Positive Action Community Theatre Executive Director Kathryn Campion.
PACT’s mission is to empower individuals and create community through the performing arts. Its goal is to make participation in theatre arts available to the underserved by providing accessible, affordable theatre arts programs to people of all abilities and income levels.
