Grant deadline set for Oceanside Charitable Foundation money

OCEANSIDE — The Oceanside Charitable Foundation, an affiliate of the San Diego Foundation, has raised nearly $150,000 in endowment and granted more than $50,000 to benefit the community of Oceanside. The foundation continues its commitment to Oceanside with the release of its 2011 grant guidelines.
The 2011 Oceanside Charitable Foundation grants will focus on projects and programs related to the environment. The deadline for grant applications is June 13. The Oceanside Charitable Foundation will accept proposals up to $30,000. This year’s grant guidelines can be found at the Foundations website at oceansidecharitablefoundation.org.
“This grant cycle, the Oceanside Charitable Foundation will fund projects that address one or a combination of environmental education, water quality and conservation, and/or habitat and wildlife preservation,” said George Brown, Oceanside Charitable Foundation Grants Committee chair. He encouraged grant submittals from any organization that is promoting the health of the environment.
