ENCINITAS — The Downtown Encinitas MainStreet Association will sponsor the
28th annual Encinitas April Street Fair set from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. April 9 and April 10
along South Coast Highway 101 between D and J Streets.
The fair will offer 450 food, arts and crafts vendors, five live music stages, children’s rides, and the Beer Garden Stage sponsored by Stone Brewing Company and Port Brewing Company.
This year DEMA has created an even stronger partnership with the North County Transit District. NCTD will not only be running two-for-one fares on both April 9 and April 10, but are running special trains April 10 to accommodate street fair attendees. The Coaster stops less than one block away from the fair. Visit gonctd.com or encintias101.com for more detailed coaster information.
The April fair features five live music stages with more than 10 different bands, solo artists and performers each day. The beer garden stage in the Lumberyard parking lot at Coast Highway 101 and I Street will have an all-star lineup featuring Rhythm Method, Shoreline Rootz, the Bozzani Brothers and the Bill Magee Blues Band.
Keeping the fair as eco-friendly as possible, organizers will provide blue ClearStream recycling bins. The city of Encinitas will be lending the Downtown Encinitas MainStreet Association 100 ClearStream recycling bins to capture glass, aluminum and plastic at the street fair. These bins were purchased through a joint grant between the city of Encinitas and DEMA from the Department of Conservation.
The Encinitas Fire Department’s annual Pancake Breakfast will kick off from 7 to 11 a.m. April 9 in the 7-Eleven parking lot at D Street and Coast Highway 101.
Suggested parking spots are at City Hall on Vulcan Avenue; the Moonlight Beach Parking lot on Third Street and the two Coaster Station parking lots at Vulcan and D Street and Vulcan and E Street.
